National Day of Prayer (U.S.)

Posted on May 5, 2011 Posted by Blue Letter Bible

Today is the National Day of Prayer here in the U.S. If you live in the U.S., would you join us in praying for our elected officials, our military, and our nation as a whole?

Pray for a generation to rise up that fears the LORD and loves Him through Christ (Psalm 85:6-7).

If you do not live in the U.S., I invite you to pray for your nation.

And let all of us take this moment to also pray, in unity, for the church around the world and the Kingdom to come.

I also love this prayer, penned by Scotty Smith last year, about what he calls the Every Nation Day of Prayer.
