September Free Hymn of the Month: Lift High the Name of Jesus
A life that highly exalts the name of Jesus will always bear enduring fruit. The Apostle Peter exhorts believers to honor Christ in their lives in such a way that other people will notice.
But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you. (1 Peter 3:15a ESV)
Clearly we are to share our faith verbally, yet the powerful witness of a Christian life sincerely and purposefully lived out, often speaks volumes to the lost. These were some of the key thoughts behind the writing of the hymn, “Lift High the Name of Jesus.”
