BLB is a must have for the serious Bible student, scholar, teacher, or preacher. Having immediate access to Strong’s concord
ance is an excellent resource tool as well.

I’m delighted by the updates and easy to use improvements to the BLB. I regularly use the BLB as my go to study resource, helping me dig deeper into the scriptures. Thanks so much for providing this wonderful site ad-free.

Very much appreciative of this tool. It has been a faithfull and valuable resource for me.

However, as Noah says, one of the most valuable features is no longer working and I am resorting to another site. 🙁

The word search feature just grinds, and I don’t have time to wait and wait, so I have moved on… too bad. Let me know when it’s fixed.

I love BLB and frequently recommend it to my friends. I’ve been using the new version and think I have discovered one draw-back. With the old version, I could type an English word (let’s say “goat”) and BLB would give me all of the occurrences of the English word in the KJV. But along with every English word, the Strongs number for the word “goat” would also be displayed on every text on the list. In the older version I could then scan down the list and see if there was more than one Strong’s number which would then tell me that there are several Hebrew words that are translated into English as “goat.” With the new BLB version, it doesn’t display the Strongs number of the initial list, so it seems that I have to click on every single text that has the word “goat” to see the Strong’s number and then compare them all through tediously searching to see if there is more than one Hebrew word translated as goat. Perhaps you dropped the Strong’s numbers on the text list because you now use other English versions than the KJV and you can’t display the Strongs numbers on the list of texts as easily, but I wish you could still at least put them on the KJV like you used to. It is going to be very difficult to search thru hundreds of texts trying to see if there are different Strongs numbers so that I can find out which Hebrew words are all translated as a given English word. Thank you for listening! (I still love BLB no matter what!) Sharon

You can still do this, Sharon! Just click on the “Strong’s” check box in the app bar, and your Strong’s numbers will appear!

for many years i studied using blueletterbible.org – been awesome; how are revisions an improvement? clicking the ‘classic’ view yields a reduced set of capabilities; the benefit of ‘classic’ was to word study, the revision minimizes that and should not be promoted as any sort of ‘improvement’ but a cave-in sink-hole for comparing different versions. the whole philosophy of the website has shifted gears away from the architecture underneath the surface words. yes, it’s still there, bearly.

That’s actually not true, Peter. Version 3 does everything that classic does, but easier and with better interface. The point of the revision was to make Word study easier and more streamlined. You can even eliminate all sidebars when you are reading the Word. This is a feature that is not available in “classic.”
