Beginning at 12:00 AM PDT Monday, September 2nd, we will be performing the migration of Blue Letter Bible to its new redesign, labeled BLB V3.
Both BLB v3, and the existing BLB site will be completely unavailable during this transition. It is expected to take several hours, but our goal is to have the site back up for service by mid-day next Monday.

August 26, 2013 at 11:42 amI’ve been beta testing the new BLB layout and have actually nothing to report in terms of glitches or otherwise. I personally love the new lay out. Here’s why:
1. The tutorial is well written, very clear to understand and gives a good overview of everything and how it works. I took the time to go through it and felt at the end I had a much better understanding of where everything was and how it worked.
2. The layout. It’s fresh, clean and not as busy and distracting as the old BLB. Everything you need is either right in front or easily accessed in a more orderly fashion. Your eye immediately goes to the search which is prominent and probably the main reason many go to BLB. I also like the quick Nav and advanced options, although I have not used multiple verse searches, I like the way it’s set up.
3. The Bar at the top of the page gives easy access to whatever feature you need or want to investigate. You don’t have to go all over the site searching for devotions, or the blog. Everything can be accessed right from the bar at the top of the page.
4 The News, new items, help and other bars are highlighted in pleasant tones and not garish or “in your face”. It welcomes you to investigate content instead of chasing you away with intimidation.
5. Lastly, at the bottom of the home page is somewhat of a site search where everything again, is clearly laid out and easy to find. The entire home page is user friendly and easy to navigate. And as always, in my humble opinion, BLB search is superior in terms of ease of usage and to be honest, it’s what I’m comfortable with.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention my favorite and most enjoyable parts of BLB which are the university courses and the blog. I’m realizing there is community in BLB. Ministry ( service) happens in the context of community. Also, there is so much to discover on this site, I don’t think I could ever exhaust its content and resources.
A lot of effort and hard work go into this site, that’s apparent. I for one am appreciative to have this resource available. It encourages my walk with Christ and connects me in ways I otherwise would not be connected. Thank you Chris and BLB for your service ( ministry) to the Kingdom of God, may he eternally receive all the glory, honor and praise.
In His service,
Breaux Mann

September 1, 2013 at 7:59 amCan’t wait to use the new version. “What we hope to get from the Beta test of v3 is a lot of feedback.” How does one sign up for the Beta test of v3?
I appreciate how the BLB equips me to teach the Word of God with clarity and confidence. Thank you and may our Lord bless the zeal, passion, and hard work you’ve poured into this new version.

September 2, 2013 at 7:37 amSorry I liked it just the way it was now what do I do. It gave me the exact meaning of a word, plus a primitive root word.

September 3, 2013 at 8:22 amHi, John! With the new site, you can do everything at the old site & more (but much easier!)
Are you using the interlinear? Have you tried toggling between the “interlinear” and “reverse interlinear” tabs?
Let me know if that helps! You can also click on the “BLB Classic” button (top left) to return to the old site, although I think if you give the new one a chance, you’ll like it more!
