The following is taken from the commentaries of F.E. Marsh – now available at the new Blue Letter Bible beta site!

F.E. Marsh presents a sevenfold light regarding the three Persons of the Godhead:

  1. Death of Christ. “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” (Hebrews 9:14).
  2. Resurrection of Christ. “But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:11).
  3. Christ preaching. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me” (Luke 4:18).
  4. New Birth. “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God” (John 3:5).
  5. Prayer. “And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will ofGod” (Romans 8:27).
  6. Access. “For through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father” (Ephesians 2:18).
  7. Union. “In Whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit” (Ephesians 2:22).

  2. Christ is the second person of the trinity, He is Immanuel, God with us,
    He is the Word, John 1:1 (KJV)
    In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He is sitting on the right hand of God the Father, he went with His precious blood into heaven, Hebrews 5:6 (KJV)
    As he saith also in another place , Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

    24For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 25[Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;] 26[For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.] 27[And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:] 28[So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.]  

  3. Love it!

    Come near to Me, hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; From the time that it was, I was there. And now the Lord GOD and His Spirit have sent Me. Isaiah 48:16

    One with GOD The Father, GOD The Son, and The Holy Spirit of God. How Blessed are we who believe.

    We now have provision to be ONE with Him who knew us from the foundations of the earth!!! Children of this Holy Union, through His Blood and with His Spirit ! From Glory To Glory !!!Justified.
