The following has been adapted from the devotionals of F.E. Marsh, a new resource coming soon to the Blue Letter Bible!
The Lord gives at least a sevenfold strengthening to His people as they trust Him.
The strength of His grace to empower.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
(2 Corinthians 12:9)
The strength of His arm to sustain.
“fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
(Isaiah 41:10).
The strength of His love to inspire.
“The love of Christ constraineth us” 2 Corinthians 5:14 KJV).
The strength of His armor to protect.
…”be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God…”
(Ephesians 6:10-11)
The strength of His joy to gladden.
“…do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
(Nehemiah 8:10)
The strength of His Word to comfort.
“This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy Word hath quickened me”
(Psalm 119:50 KJV).
The strength of His power to qualify.
“…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses…”
(Acts 1:8).
What about you? Can you add to Marsh’s list? How else does the Lord strengthen His people? Go to Blue Letter Bible and see if you can find more, then leave your additions in the comments!

October 29, 2012 at 12:05 pm“I love Thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.” Psalm 18:1-3.
“For who is God, but the LORD? And who is is a rock, except our God, the God who girds me with strength, and makes my way blameless?” Psalm 18:31-32.
“For Thou hast girded me with strength for battle; Thou hast subdued under me those who rose up against me.” Psalm18:39.
“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; whom shall I dread?” Psalm 27:1.
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:26.
May your Monday be as blessed as your Sunday.

October 29, 2012 at 12:57 pmGreetings, Brothers & Sisters in Christ. Just a little word of wisdom that has blessed and encouraged me. “The POWER that a real Christian possesses is in his PASSION and COMPASSION.” We, as the Sons of GOD, must arise out of our apathy and ignorance and remember to stir up the gift within ourselves given to us by GOD! (2 Timothy 1:6&7)

October 30, 2012 at 9:29 amThe strength of His love to assure us of our salvation:
“Remember my affliction and my wanderings, the wormwood and the gall! My soul continually remembers it and is bowed down within me. But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:19-23
