The following has been adapted from the devotionals of F.E. Marsh, a new resource coming soon to the Blue Letter Bible!
Christians are in the Spirit….
…as Warriors, walking in the Spirit.
“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”
(Galatians 5:16)
…as Redeemed Ones, continuing in the Spirit.
“Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?”
(Galatians 3:3)
…as Suppliants, praying in the Spirit.
“praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints”
(Ephesians 6:18)
…as Worshipers, worshiping God in the Spirit.
“For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh”
(Philippians 3:3)
…as Brethren, loving one another in the Spirit.
“and has made known to us your love in the Spirit.”
(Colossians 1:8)
…as United Ones, having access in the Spirit.
“For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.”
(Ephesians 2:18)
…as Obedient Ones, living in the Spirit.
“If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.”
(Galatians 5:25)
What about you? Can you think of any other ways that Christians are in the Spirit? Leave it in the comments and be sure to cite the scripture reference!

that same spirit of hoiness that was upon jesus that declared him to be the son of God, is the same spirit that declares to us we are children of God.
