Christ, the True One

Posted on October 11, 2011 Posted by Blue Letter Bible

Christ is…

1. …the true Light, to illuminate.

John 1:9 – “The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.”

2. …the true Bread, to satisfy.

John 6:32 – “Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.”

3. …the true Vine, to make fruitful.

John 15:1 – “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser.”

4. …the true God, to assure.

1 John 5:20 – “And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.”

5. …the true Witness, to speak.

Revelation 3:14 – “And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the Amen, the faithful and witness, the beginning of God’s creation”

6. …the true Judge, to determine.

Revelation 19:11 – “Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.”

Yes Christ is the light, the way, and the truth. He alone is the only way to the Father. I thank the Father for giving us His only begotten Son, so that we might have Light.

Truth does not rely on belief to be true. Truth is truth and can stand alone. Thank You Lord for Your living Word given to us.

Amen! I told an unbeliever “Jesus loves you” and she replied, “I don’t believe in Jesus.” I said, “But He still loves you. His love for you doesn’t depend on your belief in Him.” As His Word says, “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Isn’t that incredible?

Truth doesn’t change. Whether a perosn believes the truth or not doesn’t negate the truth. Truth rests not on man’s opinion, but on the absolute. Jesus is THE TRUTH; true freedom is only obtained through accepting that Truth.

You know, Jehovah’s witnesses came to my house the other day, which has only happened twice in my life and I think the reason why… As usual, I took it as a prime opportunity to let them know that the only way, truth and life is by Jesus Christ and no man can go to the Father unless, by Him. They really had no real comeback, only that they wanted to come back and have bible study with me at a later time, if I would allow them to. They wanted to subtily get in by trying to make me believe that they totally believed that truth, but I’m pretty sure that if I allowed them to, they would have tried to pollute that truth. What do you all think?

Truth is a person and his name is Jesus. Jesus said I am the way, turth, and the light.

Don’t do it! You are right they want to deceive you. I used to try to help them see the truth and even when faced with Scripture after Scripture they closed their minds. Now if they show up I ask them to read 1 Cor. 12:3 and ask them to say “Jesus is Lord” If they refuse I tell them we have nothing to discuss and ask them to leave.

I did a quick secure Yahoo search for “what to tell a Jehovahs Witness” and got some good links. Check out their sites too.

Here is an extensive one response:

    Witneses4Jesus.org

This on site also has great information when witnessing to a non-Christian also.

Be solid on your points to them that we will be here when the antiChrist comes. It is for us to witness letting the Holy Spirit speak for us. Those who overcome will indeed join the saints as they descend to earth at Yahweh’s Second Coming! Christ has overcome the world. Praise be!

As with any site make sure you use scripture to check scripture.

    I use King James Version / Strong’s Concrdance .
with parallel verses of other Bibles showing.

For a very good search to study of the Old and New Testament use “I am”

I love this blog! I use it as my homepage and use the wallpaper for my screen I often print the daily contributions for my minister. He alludes to them quite often in his sermons.

Thanks be to God for those who share their time and expertise on this blog.

    Keywords: I am

Note most of the “I ams” are the words of God the Father and God the Son.

Here are the first “I am” from our Lord:

Gen_15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

Gen_15:7 And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.

Gen_17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

Other “I ams” are from others such as Moses i.e.

Exo_3:4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

    Total: am

    Christ is our peace.
Actually a better word would be he is our shalom, which carries so much more richness about it, meaning completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety, soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest and harmony. It comes from the root verb shalom meaning to be complete, perfect and full. In modern Hebrew it is related to Shelem which means to pay for, and Shulam meaning fully paid. Praise God that Jesus did this, He is our Prince of Peace.
