The following seven Scriptures, where the word “made”occurs, indicate what Christ became and suffered:
1. His Condescension. “Made flesh”
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14
2. His Identification. “Made in the likeness of men”
“but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant,fn being born in the likeness of men.” Philippians 2:7
3. His Humbling. “Made of woman”
“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law” Galatians 4:4
4. His Compassion. “Made under the law”
“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law” Galatians 4:4
5. His Obedience. “Made himself obedient”
“And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” Philippians 2:8
6. His Condemnation. “Made a curse”
“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree'” Galatians 3:13
7. His Sin-bearing. “Made Him to be sin”
“For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

September 20, 2011 at 4:10 amOh, if we only understood this and the ramifications of it. Would we then take so lightly our relationship with the Living God. He is enough. He has paid the price. He understands our every need. He is all and all. Thank you Lord Jesus, Thank you Father God and thank you for sending us Your Holy Spirit.

September 20, 2011 at 5:05 amHeb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
BUT ALSO HIS EXULTATION:
Acts 2:36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”
1Cor 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

September 20, 2011 at 7:08 amThank you, Shawn, three more important ‘made’s’. What humility that the God of the Universe should be made all that we needed as a Redeemer. Hallelujah, what a savior.

September 21, 2011 at 4:01 amPhilippians 2:7 is a wonderful passage, teaching us about the amazing truth of Christ’s identification with man. I love this passage from Hebrews 2, just below the one Shawn identified about Christ being made a little lower than angels: “Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things …” (Heb 2:17, NASB).
If that isn’t enough to have us praising our LORD forever, the reason that He was made like us in all things is, to borrow a phrase from Rennetta, mind blowing. “… so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.” (Heb 2:17-18)

September 21, 2011 at 12:54 pmMADE A MOCKERY. By false converts who have come to Christ for a free gift but do not know the giver. Men who want to go to heaven to see their family members and pets, but never mention the joy and duty of worshiping God for eternity. Is 6:2-3, Matt 7:21-23
MADE A MOCKERY. By false doctrines based on man centered theology created by foolish men who will perish because of their selfish pride. Gal 2:21, 3:2, Eph 2:8-9
MADE A MOCKERY. By the false gospels of God haters and lovers of money who will choke on their idolatry when Christ returns to judge them. Gal 1:8-9,
MADE A MOCKERY. By science and the ‘evolution’ of morons who once said the earth was flat, and have ‘evolved’ to follow greater heresies such as Darwinism, rather than submitting to the biblical truth of creation by the one and only true God and Creator of the universe. Rev 4:11
MADE A MOCKERY. By disobedient, vile human beings who hate God, hate themselves, and hate each other. Rom 1:22-25, 1John 2:19
I praise God that he saved a wretch like me. A man who fell into many of things that would make a mockery of the One True God. I pray that there be many more saved from the wrath of eternal flames by the mercy and grace of Christ Jesus, Lord of all.
Use me O Lord for your glory. I give my life to preaching your gospel. Sustain me with your Holy Spirit. Sanctify me. Help me to love those who do you so wrong. Help me to be the husband I should be, the father I should be, and the man of God I should be. I want for nothing else in this world. I love you.
From the narrow path,
Len
