There are many things that the Holy Spirit says we have in Christ. In fact, we are graciously given every spiritual blessing in Him (Ephesians 1:3).
Here are nine of those blessings:
1. Peace
“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
(Romans 5:1)
2. Redemption
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace…”
(Ephesians 1:7)
3. Eternal Life
“I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.”
(1 John 5:13)
4. The Spirit of Adoption
“For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, ‘Abba! Father!'”
(Romans 8:15)
5. Strong Consolation/Encouragement
“…so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.”
Hebrews 6:18)
6. A Sure and Steadfast Anchor
“We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain”
(Hebrews 6:19)
7. A Great High Priest
“Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven”
(Hebrews 8:1)
8. A Glorified Body in Reserve
“For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.”
(2 Corinthians 5:1)
9. Provision
“We have an altar…”
(Hebrews 8:10)
What about you? What other blessings in Christ can you think of?

September 9, 2011 at 4:31 amDon,
Not to get picky, but would you agree that order is important when it comes to spiritual matters. Because he took my burdes (sins) away, we have peace with God. The verse in Romans 5 (verse 1) has a therefore, so one must look at what came before it. Chapter 4 speaks of Abraham and his believing in God which was accounted to him for righteousness.
Here are some further verses for your meditation:
John 1:29 – The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
Psalm 103:12 – As far as the east is from the west, [so] far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Isaiah 53:4 – Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
1 Peter 5:7 – Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

September 1, 2011 at 10:18 amIsaiah 43:25 says, “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.” If you belong to the Lord, He will not ever recall any of your failures or sins. In God, your Father’s eyes, you, oh Sainted and forgiven one, have never sinned! You have never missed His mark of perfection. You have been given the very righteousness of Jesus, Himself. Is this good news or wht? Yes!

September 9, 2011 at 4:52 amIt is true that we are redeemed and justified and forgiven of all our sins (not in part but the whole were nailed to the cross and I bare it no more). It is also true as this verse says that God will ‘remember your sins no more.’ However this verse is not saying that God sees us as if we have never sinned. The fact is we have sinned (our nature before the new man) and we still sin (we still live in this body of flesh and fight with its passions). The blessed truth of this verse is that He sees us through his sinless spotless Son, who never sinned and will never bring an accusation against us because of the nail prints in the hands and feet of our blessed Lord Jesus Christ. I don’t believe for a moment that those marks will ever disappear in all eternity.

September 4, 2011 at 12:35 pmRomans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
Romans 8:30-36
What then shall we say to these things? If God [is] for us, who [can be] against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? [It is] God who justifies. Who [is] he who condemns? [It is] Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [Shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” [fn]

September 10, 2011 at 3:37 pmNow that I have had chance to look at this in more detail. WOW! What blessings we indeed have in Christ.
We have a Prophet (spoken of by Moses)
We have a Priest (one who interceded for us with the nail prints in his hands and feet)
We have a King (we will rule with him in the millennial Kingdom)
We have a Shepherd (one who guides us to green pastures and protects us on the way)
We have a Saviour (one who died for our sins)
We have an Author and Finisher of our faith (one who went before us into God’s presence)
We have a friend that sticks closer than a brother, yet he is our brother as well as we are co-heirs with him.
Can someone help me understand #9 Provision. What is the connection to Christ as our Altar? The reference is actually found in Hebrews 13:10, rather than 8:10. Thank you.
