This sounds like sound advice to me. Wish I had heard it years ago. So now you know how to pray for me….. !

There’s POWER in the actual, literal, Word of God. Without a ready willingness to share the verbatim Word, we dilute the power by which the Lord Jesus Christ (power in His Name/Blood) intends to heal hurting people. We hide (learn/memorize) the Word of God…so that we might not sin against Him. Our “advice” is worthless (we as “Counselor” or not): Isaiah 9:6…without His Word: Hebrews 11:3

@ Ava Archie, I appreciate your comments and think that both you and the gentleman in the video have valid points. We all must be careful not to let flesh lead us when we encounter a hurting soul. Flesh can urge you to speak scripture when it is not appropriate to do so, AND flesh can urge you to keep silence when a Word is needed. Every situation in our lives dictates prompting from the POWERFUL Holy Ghost to guide us in the right direction.

I am very blessed to have come across this video! The speaker put it into words for me how to be cautious when speaking to others or responding to them! Thank you, thank you.
Being sensitive to where they are coming from can happen if we let the Holy Spirit lead us.
If we simply fling verses at people, we should be careful that the root of that is not “self” – trying to impress.
    God bless!
