BLB Women's Ministry Resources

Posted on June 21, 2011 Posted by Blue Letter Bible

Calling all ladies!

Did you know that Blue Letter Bible has women’s ministry resources?

Well, we do! It has always been our desire to work alongside the local church by providing a wide variety of free bible study resources for both men and women. We want you, our users, to grow in the knowledge of God, the study of His word, and the love of Christ in ways that compel you to pass on what you know—namely, the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this reason, we have compiled a list of helpful resources for a women’s ministry page, which we are calling Glimpses of His Glory.

On this women’s ministry page, you will find Bible Studies on the Women of the Bible as well as writings from Christian Women in modern times, whether serving in the mission field, or as teachers, poets, songwriters, devotional writers, and more. Additionally, you will find reproductions of lovely devotionals from the 19th Century.

Resources for Women’s Ministry include:

  • Women of Scripture (Eve, Sarai/Sarah, Rebekah, Miriam, Deborah)
  • Study resources
    • The Women in the Word (Mary Elizabeth Baxter)
    • Women of the Bible (P.C. Headley)
    • The Women of the Scriptures (H. Hastings Weld)
  • Biographies
    • The World’s Workers (Lizzie Alldridge)
  • Missionaries
    • Nor Script (Amy Carmichael)
  • Hymns and Poetry
    • Evening Melodies (Frances Ridley Havergal)
  • Devotionals
    • Vessels of God (a 19th century devotional for every day of the month)
  • Audio Resources (Elisabeth Elliot, Kay Smith)

We pray that the Lord will use these free resources to bless your study of His Word!

Hi Martha! Hmm, that’s strange. It should work. I just tried on a Mac at our office. What web browser are you using?

    Chris,

I noticed that you responded to the above blogs which I think is great. Though this is not related to the Women’s Ministry, it indirectly could be. In my study of the Bible, I use your concordance, and I have notice qal and Hiphil. What do these mean? How does it affect the definitions of the words? Just wanting to have a deeper understanding of God’s Word. I will check back later.

    Thanks, Connie

      Hi Connie,
What verse are you studying? I’ll see if I can help with your study.

        Chris,

I have wondered about it on various word studies. The verse that I am looking at right now is Ps 119:118 and the word err. How do you know which one is the correct one to use, the qal or the hiphil. qal would indicate that it would be a personal going astray from God’s statues, but hiphil seems to say that those who would lead other astray from God’s statues. The tendency is to assume that it is the individual going astray, but I can also see it as those who lead others astray, or even both ways. But just in general, what do the two words mean, and is there like a rule of thumb that I could apply to know which word is the intended interpretation of the scripture. I know that you can go by the context in general, but am wondering if there is more to it than that. Well thank you for responding and I will check back sometime tomorrow or Saturday.

        In Christ,
        Connie
