What do you make of the change in the words from “When we’ve been there . . .” to “When we’ve been here . . .”. If we consider where “there” and “here” are we might begin to see a nuance between believing in a judgment to come where the sheep and goats shall be separated and believers spending an eternity with God in a new earth, to a theology of salvation dispensed to all regardless of their belief and acceptance of Jesus’ death and resurrection and the earth as it now exists as the ultimate place of salvation.
