It’s Christmastime, the time of year that we celebrate the glorious incarnation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is an important subject to ruminate over. Considering the marvelous truth of the incarnation will do the church well.
Jesus, God the Son, went from a place on high to the dirt below. He went from a throne to a manger. He went from honor to dishonor. He went from glory to humility.
Consider the words of Jonathan Edwards as he explains why we ought to return to this truth again and again – not just every December:
“The pride of man, which is the chief hindrance against his cleaving to God, can be confuted and healed through the great humility of God.
Man learns how far he has gone away from God and what it is worth to Him as a pain to cure him, when he returns through such a Mediator, who both as God assists men by His divinity, and as man agrees with men by His weakness.
For what greater example of obedience could be given to us, who had perished through disobedience, than God the Son obedient to God the Father, even to the death of the cross? (Phil. 2:8)
Where could the reward of obedience itself be better shown, than in the flesh of so great a Mediator, which rose again to eternal life?
It belonged also to the justice and goodness of the Creator, that the devil should be conquered by the same rational creature which he rejoiced to have conquered, and by one that came from that same race which, by the corruption of its origin through one, he held altogether.”
The mystery of God as man—Christ’s great humility—is a doctrine that holds an exceedingly humbling effect.

December 2, 2011 at 4:46 amWe celebrate each day our Precious Savior. Born in a humble stable who did his Father’s will without blemish or question.
After the Last Supper:
Jhn 13:3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
Jhn 13:4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
Jhn 13:5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe [them] with the towel wherewith he was girded.
Jhn 13:6 Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
Jhn 13:7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
Jhn 13:8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
Jhn 13:9 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also [my] hands and [my] head.
Jhn 13:10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash [his] feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.
Jhn 13:12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
Jhn 13:13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for [so] I am.
Jhn 13:14 If I then, [your] Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.
Jhn 13:15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
Jhn 13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
Jhn 13:17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
Thank you sweet Savior for coming to this earth to free us from the power of death.
To you we owe all.

The Kingdom of God has Come to Earth
“– Jesus speaks about the kingdom of God ”or sometimes the kingdom of heaven; he calls it either one” more than anything else; more than he talks about repentance, sex, money, religion, anything. In fact, Jesus uses the word `kingdom of God` 80 times, but only uses the word `church` twice. Of the 52 words in the Lord`s Prayer, 25% of them are dedicated to teaching us to pray that God`s kingdom would come. In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus says
*** to seek first the kingdom of God, and If then everything else will follow from that. ***
[When reading the]
New Testament … it would be obvious to you that the number one priority of Jesus, his mission in the world, the thing he was most adamant about, was ushering in the kingdom of God…”
“…Jesus` message was about so much more than just how to get into heaven or manage our sin. Jesus went throughout Galilee preaching the good news of what? Of how to get into heaven? Of sin management? No.
Preaching the good news of the kingdom. Now certainly the kingdom includes his death on the cross to forgive our sins so we could be with God forever, and it certainly includes giving us the power to live new lives, but the kingdom of God is also about a whole lot more …”

But nonetheless there are bits and pieces of God`s kingdom right here and right now, which is why Jesus says the kingdom is among you, it`s not just out there, it`s here and now. What God wants is to see that kingdom grow, and to see that kingdom grow in three places, in me, my church, and my world. That`s where God wants to see the kingdom come.”

“As John Ortberg puts it, the kingdom of God is whenever and wherever “up there comes down here”, in me, my church, and my world. That looks like a whole lot of different things.
* It looks like people becoming less arrogant and prideful and greedy. * It looks like people loving and helping other people, telling other people about Jesus. It looks like a lot of things, but to make it simple, let me boil it down to three things; all of them begin with the letter `R`. The three `R`s` of the kingdom are: Reconciliation, Restoration, Rejoicing. Whenever and wherever God is reigning those three `R`s` are happening…”

December 2, 2011 at 7:00 amObedience and humility are topics the Lord has been speaking very strongly to many of us about. The quote above from Jonathan Edwards that points out that it is our pride that prevents us from cleaving to God really hit home for me, since my Father has been impressing the word “cleave” into my spirit (as I suspect he is also doing to others), and since these are lessons that I, personally, struggle to learn.
I would like to share a quote from the recently departed David Wilkerson that I read a week or so ago that hit me deep in the spirit, and which I am praying for greater wisdom, discernment, and understanding about, and the ability to APPLY in my own life.
“Humility isn’t merely the opposite of self-exaltation.It is about more than practicing what we preach or taking the lowest seat in the house or doing good works in secret. Of course, these are all good and acceptable things in God’s eyes, but none of them makes us humble.
First, the surest evidence that someone isn’t humble is that he thinks he is. So don’t think you’re being humble through your meekness, quietness, self-abasement or self-denial. You won’t put on humility by ignoring praise or putting yourself down. True humility is about one thing: total dependance on the Lord.
Here is God’s perspective on how we grow in our passion for Christ: We see our need for humility. And humility is, at its core, total dependance on the Lord. The word ‘dependance’ means, ‘trust for all things, in all things.’
Only total and complete trust makes a person humble. This means having no agenda, no-self will, and forfeiting all rights. It also means knowing who has power for all things and turning to him in faith for his supply. Genuine trust doesn’t stop at saying, ‘I’m weak.’ It also declares, ‘He is strong.’ Such dependent trust requires humility.” – Published in the World Challenge Pulpit Series newsletter, dated November 14 2011.

Like the first group of disciples and the Apostles were when they went out to begin the great commission.
Reminds me of the Apostle’s boat in the storm. Jesus admonished them as long as He was with them they would not be harmed as to death which we find out later means death of the Spirit not death of the body.
Jesus is with us. We can’t see the breath of God inside us giving our heart nourishment but the gift from Jesus is our heart

If it will do the church ‘well’ to ruminate over the question of the incarnation; And if it is the “Truth” that we are interested in ruminating over, then why not ruminate over the whole truth of the matter?
Are we saying then that the word of God put on flesh during the “Christmas Season?” Was it “Christmas Time” when the ‘Incarnation of God the Son took place? Where does it say that in the Bible? And if it does not say so, then why do we associate a Pagan Holiday with the Holy Lord Jesus, the only begotten Son of God?
I am not trying to start an argument but this blog starts out with the “Great Humility of God” and then leads into a commercialization for this world Christmas Time??? As if Christmas time actually has something to do with the Incarnation of the Word of God? I don’t get it.
Is that in the Bible some where? Are we Commanded by Jesus or any of the apostles’ to Celebrate the “Incarnation of the Word of God in the midst of the dead season? Would some one please show me from the Bible how “Christmas Time” (A Pagan Holiday) and the Incarnation of the word of God are somehow connected to each other? Please, if you can? Victor says
December 3, 2011 at 7:12 amExactly!
I personally believe that when we observe Christmas or Christmas Time, we are delegating the honor and glory due the Lord to that of a horse. In other words we are being disrespectful towards the Lord.
Animals are not “honored” on their birthdays but a horse is at least recognize to be so many years old on January 1st. This is to say that even though a horse was not born on January 1st. That is none the less it’s birthday.
No one knows the date of birth of the lord so then why are we treating Jesus like a horse?
“Oh, lets just asign Jesus the date of December 25th. and we will honor Him then?”
Those who can not see the total disrespect alloted the Great Maker, who put on flesh over a period of 9 month in the womb of a human, will learn the error of their ways in the final judgment.
It matters not when That Word of God was born into humanity only that He did so and by doing so made it possible for Humans to be born into that Spiritual existence of God and where the Angels exist as well. That is the whole point of it all.
By placing a date especially one that is not true is simply plain disrespectful to the whole point of the Incarnation of the Son of God. It is not honorable.

December 3, 2011 at 3:44 pmI would say He was born around the feast of Tabernacles maybe? It was a warmer time of season. I see that Christmas has become very commercial and has taken off in a direction that is pagan. People have given the Attributes of G-d to santa. Wrong. We know that Dec. 25 is winter solstice. Having said that. . . If people want to celebrate symbolically the birth of the Messiah Y’shua at that time without the santa clause and commercialization that goes along with it, who are we to judge? If their intent is pure and worship to the Messiah Y’shua in understanding that this might not be the actual day, again, who are we to judge? Rom 14:5 One person esteems [one] day above another; another esteems every day [alike]. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. Rom 14:6 He who observes the day, observes [it] to the Lord; [fn] and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe [it]. “… we find in the Bible that the same custom existed in that day and we find the Lord’s instructions as to what our stand should be.
Jeremiah 10:1, “Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: 2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the ax. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.”
Here the heathen of that day where cutting down trees and decorating them and worshipping them. But the word of the Lord was for his people not to fear this practice as He pointed out to them that the tree itself had no power to do good or evil. Evil is in the heart of man. So putting up a Christmas tree is not evil or good in itself. If we decorate a tree and celebrate in honor of our Lord Jesus then, to us it is good.

December 2, 2011 at 6:09 pm“The mystery of God as man—Christ’s great humility—is a doctrine that holds an exceedingly humbling effect.”
The doctrine is also known as the “Why would God want to add humanity to himself” Mystery! There are some questions that we will not understand perhaps even in all of eternity. Like for example; Where does the desire to be like God come from?
God is so humble that when Lucifer the Archangel wanted to be God, he thought that God was probably a push over because God was just that humble and that with the help of just a few other angels; That they could just knock God off of his throne and Lucifer would rule and that the humble pushover God the Father would serve him instead.
If God were not that humble, then perhaps all of the angels, including Lucifer, would have had that much more fear of God and never would any of them have attempted to over throw this seemingly humble, push over of a God the Father from off of His Throne in Heaven.
God is that humble a being, that when the word put on flesh, it could be construed from a humble point of view, as a step up. Lol. But the mystery of the Humility of God is not all that complicated for one with the Spirit/Mind of God with them to understand. God is Eternal and nothing but absolutely nothing exist outside of His Eternal Attributes.
There is no space and no time outside of God. All things exist and have their being in God (Acts 17:28). Or within the eternal confines of the Eternal God. There simply is no, “Outside” of God for God is all things that are. God is in all times at all places and in all places at all times.
In other words; While we may exist and have substance in this reality, we exist in the mind of God as well. Or as some one told me once, “If we forget about God, He continues to Exist. But if God ever forgets His creation, The whole Universe as we know it would cease to exist.
All times and all places exist and are maintained or upheld by the word of His power (Hebrews 1:3). Not the power of His word. God spoke and it existed but that word came from within. or from His mind and is there all the time. For all words come from within or from our thoughts.
God is eternal and knows all things. He has no bounderies to limit or define Him. So then, from that point of view, He would know that Humility is better then pride and it would just be a natural part of His true Existence unless it were the other way around and pride better instead, but it is not. Father knows best.
For the Word of God to humble himself even unto death and that the death of a cross for the purpose of the salvation of the creation is indeed, “a doctrine that holds an exceedingly humbling effect.” But then again that is the whole purpose to it. To humble us before our great God and Father and our Lord Jesus who is by nature God as well.
That awesome purpose that God should recreate Himself in us; And the only way that God the Father, who knows best, (because there is nothing that he does not know) to do it in, is through humility. There simply is no other best way. If there were, He would know. He knows that Humility is the best way, so He humbles Himself and so do the angels who stayed by His side, with Him in Heaven.
Only those who learn this awesome truth of the Humble nature of God being the best way to live and to love, will be with Him for all of Eternity. Everyone in Heaven knows that humility and submission is the best way. The Angels are now all witnesses to this truth being played out on the earth. So when the word of God humbled Himself and put on flesh, He knew why it had to be done already. The only ones who need to understand this now, and to humble themselves as well…
Is Man.

as you said show me were in the bible does it say that God and the Son are one and the same.
If you read John 1 that should clear that for you. Also you should read the nasb or nkj or meny of the awesome versions of the Bibles on this web sight as it seems like you might be reading a morman version if you have,nt read this (John was regarded very highly by Jesus. As Jesus did say of John in Matthew 11:11 I tell you the truth: Among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.) im not in a Catholic Church or go to one just so you know.
Also as you said. (God does not have flesh and blood and cannot die) well the cannot die part i can not say I do know God will always Be however whos to say that He does not have flesh and blood as He said in Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;. and on that speech who was God talking to when He said “Let Us (in Our) (according to Our).
Here is one last verse that is the most important to understand Romans 10: 9-10 not only is this the Key to salvation but its the Key to open the eyes of understanding to really understand what God is saying when we all read His word for it is Him who reveals all things Hope this helps please know i mean no harm just best i said as others might not know also

December 3, 2011 at 10:03 amDavid,
I totally agree with what Manuel P says concern God and Jesus the “Son of God”.
I have studied at length the scriptures to try and figure out who God is and who Jesus is and I have concluded that there is only one God just as He said in the Bible and there is the man Christ Jesus who is our mediator. 1 Tim 2:5 “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus”
Jesus was a man indwelt by our Father God whose name is Yahweh or Jehovah.
Moses asked for his name in Exodus 3:13-14 “And Moses said unto God, Behold, [when] I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What [is] his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”
When the man Jesus died on the cross God did not die because God is eternal and can not die. But the man Christ Jesus died for our sins. Duet 33:27 “The eternal God is your refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms…” hence God is eternal.
When the man Jesus was tempted to sin by the Devil/Satan in the wilderness it was the man Jesus being tempted not God because God can not be tempted nor does he tempt any man. James 1:13 “Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.”
The miracles that Jesus did and the words he spoke was our Father the Almighty God in him doing the work. John 14:10 “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.”
It is very simple to learn the many attributes of God… Here are a few.
1. God is love. 1 John 4:8, 16
2. God is eternal Deut 33:27, Isa 40:28
3. God is all powerful. Rev 19:6
4. God is all knowing. 1 John 3:20
5. God is one. Duet 6:4, Mark 12:29, Gal 3:20
6. God is the creator. Isa 40:28, 1 Peter 4:19
7. God is not a man. Num 23:19
8. God is our healer. Exodus 15:26
9. God is a Spirit. John 4:24
There are many more attributes about our God our Father. When you learn them you need to ask yourself do these attributes from the Bible line up with the doctrine of the trinity or do they cause illogical conclusions and misunderstanding?
I have learned that the man Jesus Christ was a man born of a virgin woman (Mary) (so he did not pre-exist) was tempted like any other men are but did not sin (God cannot be tempted), died for my sins (God cannot die) arose from the dead (God raised him the man Jesus)and is sitting at the right hand of God as our mediator.
God Bless you my Brothers and Sisters!

December 3, 2011 at 4:31 pmBy the way Andy, man can tempt G-d. It is a sin to tempt Him..Deu 6:16 “You shall not tempt the LORD your God as you tempted [Him] in Massah.Mat 4:7 Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’ “Luk 4:12 And Jesus answered and said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’ ” Man can be tempted. We can be tempted to look at a woman with lust and commit that sin. But, nothing can “tempt” G-d to commit sin. He is G-d. Therefore, He cannot be tempted. That doesn’t mean that man can’t try. For example: It’s like those whose religion is holding snakes, because of the verse that tells when a snake bites you, you won’t be harmed. Kind of like that viper that bit Paul. But, if you take up snakes just to show that you won’t be hurt you are tempting G-d. That’s wrong. So, the context of that scripture is not that someone won’t try and tempt G-d, it’s that G-d cannot be tempted by anyone or anything….. I hope that makes sense to you brother. shalom

Unddestanding your confusion regarding the Trinity. If one who is raised with a Greek based thought system, like the Western World is taught from birth (ie: Europe, USA), reads Scripture written by in ancient Hebrew mind set, then is is difficult to truly understand the concepts of Scripture.
The Hebrew word used for I AM in Genesis actually give the idea of a plural unity. The mystery of the Triune existance of God is beyond the the “logical” thought process of the Western World. We don’t suspend logic…we simply replace a flawed and limited thought process with one that understands there is so much more than the 5 senses when is comes to understanding and experiencing the world around us.
Think about the concept of God living inside of us, or new birth. Doesn’t make sense to the logical mind. But to the one that has experienced those things it makes perfect sense. May be hard to put into words and not make “logocal sense” but the one who has been changed totally understands.

December 3, 2011 at 4:20 pmActually Manuel the Bible teaches that Y’shua existed long before His physical birth in Bethlehem. Jhn 8:56 “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw [it] and was glad.” Jhn 8:57 Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” Jhn 8:58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” Jhn 8:59 Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, [fn] going through the midst of them, and so passed by. They wanted to stone Him because He was calling Himself G-d. In Hebrew, the word Heneni means “here am I”. When you say I AM you are saying G-d’s Name. Eyeh Asher Eyeh. I AM WHO I AM. It’s Genesis. You have to read the Torah to understand this… Isa 7:14 “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. [fn] עמנואל =Immanuel. Roughly, G-d with us. And David is correct. It seems like Manuel and Andy are missing the whole point and context of John chapter 1. Jhn 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jhn 1:2 He was in the beginning with God. So, Who is this “He”. The Word, Who was in the beginning with G-d and was and is G-d. This Word Jhn 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. So, this “He”, Whom all things were made by and through, was the Word and “He” became “flesh”. Kind of like G-d manifesting Himself in the flesh. Rev 19:11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. Rev 19:12 His eyes [were] like a flame of fire, and on His head [were] many crowns. He had [fn] a name written that no one knew except Himself. Rev 19:13 He [was] clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. Rev 19:14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, [fn] followed Him on white horse Rev 19:15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp [fn] sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. Rev 19:16 And He has on [His] robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. This description in the Book of Revelations is Y’shua/Jesus. King of kings and L-rd of Lords. He is called the Word of G-d. Need more? Phl 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, Phl 2:6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, (to be equal with G-d, is to BE G-D)Phl 2:7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, [and] coming in the likeness of men. Luk 1:31 “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. Luk 1:32 “He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. Luk 1:35 And the angel answered and said to her, “[The] Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the SON OF GOD! That’s pretty clear right there. Mar 1:1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.Mat 16:16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Mat 16:17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed [this] to you, but My Father who is in heaven. How many more scriptures do you need to see that this was and is the Son of G-d and G-d in the flesh. I could go on and on. I have proven through scripture Manuel that He, Y’shua/Jesus, is G-d in the flesh, ie the Word, and that He is the Son of G-d as well. I don’t what bible you read, but I do know this. I say this in love. What you are saying is heresy and you are treading on some very dangerous ground. I would back up and reread the bible, not the “new world translation”, asking the Holy Spirit to teach you, not man. I say to those who read this post, do not believe what Manuel has said. It is wrong and not scriptural and borders on heresy. Shalom

December 9, 2011 at 5:05 pmA study of the Hebrew word “God” in genesis 1:1 reveals it to be the word, “Elohyim” which is the plural word for God. Meaning God’s or more then just one person in reference. And when God said…
Gen 1:26 ¶ And God said, Let us make man in our image…
He was not talking to the angels because the angels are not creators and take no part in the actual creation and so God was talking to another God being.
Jesus said that we must live by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4).
So either we accept that God was talking to another God person or God must have imagined another God person with him there at the time. The fact is that God the Father was talking with God the Son and even Jesus said it plainly…
I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. – John 14:28
God is greater then all of us but since Jesus was claiming to be the Creator God as well he makes it clear that God the Father is the God of us all including the Son of God. The fact is that Jesus also came to reveal to us the Father…
Mat 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and [he] to whomsoever the Son will reveal [him].
Jesus is God by his nature and his Spirit which is of God and when the Bible speaks of One God like when Jesus said that He and the Father are one it means One Spirit or Mind.
There there are 50 States in the Union but only 1 United States of America. All the States are one in the Union and so the Father and the son are one God or one family. This is what the Bible teaches that there is only one family or God that is Eternal and Creator.
The Father Created all things through His Son the Word of God who would one day come to put on flesh. All things were created for Him and by Him and in the course of Time it was to the Glory of God (the Family) that the Word should put on flesh and be born into humanity. – Colossians 1:12-16

Paul backs up this declaration by quoting the Old Testament, “Whoever will call upon the name of the LORD (YHVH) will be saved” (Joel 2:32). Calling on Y’shua (Jesus) as Lord is the same as calling Him YHVH, because Yeshua (Jesus) is YHVH (LORD), the Messiah foretold throughout the entire Old Testament. …”

December 4, 2011 at 4:59 pmOk, so why do I go on about the subject of names? Names are important to God. His names in the Old Testament and New Testament give a fuller picture of the verses meanings.
Some Hebrews referred to God as the “Name”
Christ is in the very first beginning verses of Genesis “Word” “Elohim – plural”
Our Church service was good today went over the John 1 and then immediately to Genesis 1. Here of the beginnings of the chapters he used. He read more.
Jhn 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Jhn 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Jhn 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Jhn 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Jhn 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Went over much of the material we have covered in the past week. Good to have affirmations from a called pastor. David I could hear your words echoed. I smiled. David. Your parents named you well. Thank you David for your posts.
God also renames people like Simon, Paul, and Abraham. Each has import to God.
It’s good we have resources now like the Original Language version w/ KJV + Strongs.
I saw a presentation on it today. Names also give approximations on who were contempories.
A real useful tool I found also was a Chronological Order Bible online. I have a printed list I keep in my Bible so I may see the Bible unfold in context. i.e. Kings and Samuels mixed in with Psalms to give a clearer picture of King David.

Humility is the key. Jesus knew it and we are just now coming to the realization of practicing humility. Our carnal fleshy minds cannot conceive this simple act as having any leverage to the keys of the Kingdom but it is true. How many times has God had to humble you and me because we did not control our own action, thoughts, etc……
Concerning humility, there is a great book out called “Humble Is The Way” by author David Jones who puts humility into perspective in simplest form. It is easy reading and power packed with truth from both scriptural and personal experience.

I do not think that it is about blogging but what we blog about. And God looks not on the blog but the spirit or the heart of the blogger.
If we Blog about ourselves then we are wrong but if from our heart, we do it to lift up the name and the knowledge of the Lord, that God himself gave to us, then we do it for His glory and that is what God will judge. Not the Blog but why we blogged it in the first place.
Whether we preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God or about the Knowledge of God; I would think that we are lifting up the Lord for all to see and that, as Christians is what we are suppose to be doing.
The problem only comes when we are not humble enough to learn the truth and resist that true knowledge of God and the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.
