New Language Tool and the Inline Interlinear<\/h2>\n

We have been dedicated to improving and expanding our offering of biblical language resources, and are excited to announce the following additions.<\/p>\n

New Inline Interlinear<\/strong><\/p>\n

An interlinear is a language tool that connects the English-translated word(s) to the word(s) of the original, biblical language. Traditionally, you have been able to access a vertical interlinear for each verse on a Bible page, one verse at a time. While many of our users have been blessed by this, we understand that it is not the most conducive to reading and studying. That is where the inline interlinear comes in.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Now, you can examine the original languages in a comfortable, horizontal format; Greek from left to right and Hebrew from right to left. You can also examine multiple verses or an entire chapter at a time. Moreover, the parts of speech are color-coded to make them easily identifiable. For example, when you are reading John 1:1, you will notice that the words \u201cin\u201d and \u201cwith\u201d have a sage green button with \u201cPREP.\u201d This correctly denotes them as prepositions, as seen in the screenshot below:<\/p>\n

New Biblical Language Resources Page<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the twenty-five years that our ministry has been on the web, our Greek and Hebrew resources have consistently been the most popular aspect of our site. Traditionally, getting to these tools required you to navigate to several different locations on the site. Now, we have placed them all under a single section for quick and easy access. If you navigate to or click on the \u201cStudy\u201d button on the top toolbar, you will find a new section below \u201cBible Reference\u201d titled \u201cBiblical Language Resources<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Within this page, we have included links to landing pages for our inline interlinear<\/a>, lexicon resources<\/a>, Greek and Hebrew grammars<\/a>, concordances<\/a>, and Greek inflection tool<\/a>. Not only that, but we have also updated our Greek and Hebrew grammars so that they are available in both<\/em> HTML and PDF formats. We saw this update as necessary for our users, allowing for a quicker and more streamlined experience accessing this fantastic resource.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
