Here are 7 biblical statements concerning redemption (emphasis added)<\/span>:<\/p>\n

God is its Author.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God<\/strong>, righteousness and sanctification and redemption<\/strong>”
\n(1 Corinthians 1:30)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The blood of Christ is its purchase price.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

“In him we have redemption through his blood<\/strong>, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace”
\n(Ephesians 1:7)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Christ Himself is its Personification.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us<\/strong> wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption<\/strong>”
\n(1 Corinthians 1:30)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Lord Jesus is its depository.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

“and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus<\/strong>”
\n(Romans 3:24)<\/p>\n

“in whom we have redemption<\/strong>, the forgiveness of sins.”
\n(Colossians 1:14)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jesus told his disciples of a final redemption to look forward to and be ready for.
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.<\/strong>”
\n(Luke 21:27-28)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Christ’s coming is its completion.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

“And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies<\/strong>.”
\n(Romans 8:23)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The indwelling Spirit of God is its security.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption<\/strong>.”
\n(Ephesians 4:30)<\/p>\n

“In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance<\/strong> until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.”
\n(Ephesians 1:14)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
