Different characteristics of Christ which appear for us<\/em>\u00a0in Hebrews 9<\/a> & 10<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As the\u00a0Exalted Man<\/strong>\u00a0in glory<\/p>\n

“But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God”
\n(Hebrews 10:12)<\/p>\n

Think about that one. Christ did not stay in the tomb to rot. Instead, He rose from the grave and ascended on high, confirming the reality of God’s salvation. And just as Christ is risen, we are risen to new life in Him.<\/p>\n

As the\u00a0Expectant One,<\/strong>\u00a0to triumph<\/p>\n

“waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet.”
\n(Hebrews 10:13)<\/p>\n

One day, all of God’s enemies\u2014Satan, sin, death\u2014will sit under His feet. He will triumph over them!<\/p>\n

As the\u00a0Perfecter<\/strong>\u00a0of His people<\/p>\n

“For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.”
\n(Hebrews 10:14)<\/p>\n

This sanctification is of God’s people\u2014His elect (1 Peter 1:2). Our standing is perfected in Christ as we are being sanctified into His likeness.<\/p>\n

As the\u00a0Fore-runner,<\/strong>\u00a0to procure<\/p>\n

“Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh”
\n(Hebrews 10:19-20)<\/p>\n

Jesus inaugurated the coming of His kingdom and our entering into that place. We have a living hope in Him; it is not a hope that is dead.<\/p>\n

As the\u00a0High Priest,<\/strong>\u00a0to represent<\/p>\n

“and since we have a great priest over the house of God”
\n(Hebrews 10:21)<\/p>\n

Jesus is one who is at once King and “Priest on His throne” (\u00a0Zec 6:13<\/a>\u00a0)\u2014a royal Priest, and a priestly King. He reigns over the house of God\u2014namely, the church and whole family of God’s people.<\/p>\n
