What is the evidence that we are born of God? We have the question answered in John’s first Epistle. Seven times we find the words “Born of God” occurring.<\/p>\n

  1. Righteousness of life.<\/strong>\u00a0“Every one that doeth righteousness is born of Him” (1 John 2:29 KJV).<\/li>\n
  2. Not practicing sin.<\/strong>\u00a0“Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin” (1 John 3:9 KJV).<\/li>\n
  3. New nature implanted.<\/strong>\u00a0“He cannot sin, because he is born of God” (1 John 3:9 KJV).<\/li>\n
  4. Loving one another.<\/strong>\u00a0“Every one that loveth is born of God” (1 John 4:7 KJV).<\/li>\n
  5. Faith in Christ.<\/strong>\u00a0“Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ, is born of God” (1 John 5:1 KJV).<\/li>\n
  6. Victory over the world.<\/strong>\u00a0“Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world (1 John 5:4 KJV).<\/li>\n
