The following seven Scriptures, where the word “made”occurs, indicate what Christ became and suffered:<\/p>\n

1. His Condescension.<\/strong> “Made flesh”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14<\/span><\/p>\n

2. His Identification.<\/strong> “Made in the likeness of men”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

“but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant,fn<\/a>\u00a0being born in the likeness of men.” Philippians 2:7<\/span><\/p>\n

3. His Humbling.<\/strong> “Made of woman”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law” Galatians 4:4<\/span><\/p>\n

4. His Compassion.<\/strong> “Made under the law”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law” Galatians 4:4<\/span><\/p>\n

5. His Obedience.<\/strong> “Made himself obedient”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

“And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” Philippians 2:8<\/span><\/p>\n

6. His Condemnation.<\/strong> “Made a curse”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us\u2014for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree'” Galatians 3:13<\/span><\/p>\n

7. His Sin-bearing.<\/strong> “Made Him to be sin”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

“For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21<\/span><\/p>\n
